A Packed Meeting, and a Look Ahead at 2025
What an absolute honor it was to be at the Joint Federal Pharmacy Seminar 2024 meeting last month in San Diego, particularly on Veterans Day.

The event featured inspiring speakers and invaluable insights, and got right to the heart of why we launched this publication. Our new publication ImPACT Federal Health is dedicated to unifying care teams and optimizing health care for our nation’s heroes and their families, and we feel so fortunate that we were able to officially launch at this meeting and share this effort with you.

We learned so much at the meeting, which featured sessions on everything from addressing healthcare disparities by better servicing healthcare “deserts,” to expanding pharmacy services through leveraging partnerships, to addressing larger issues in the healthcare industry, from opioid abuse to mental illness. Read more in coming issues to see summaries of so many of these important topics to your everyday practice of healthcare.

Finally, we were so excited to see one of our very own editorial board members, Col. David Bobb, speak at the meeting and be honored by his colleagues at the meeting. Working in tandem with two of Amplity’s federal market strategy experts, retired Air Force Col. Bobb, who is a pharmacist, attorney, and former Chief of Pharmacy Operations at the Defense Health Agency and Jannet Carmichael, who is a PharmD, and Former VISN 21 Pharmacy Executive and Data Warehouse Manager, this publication and accompanying website are Amplity Health’s flagship PACT-facing news resource.
